My Reading List for 2016

As soon as the New Year’s approaches, I get really pumped up. Christmas is obviously a good time; you get to see friends and family and eat great food. New Year’s parties are fun, too. But what I also look forward to is the clean slate of a new year. I like to plan and think about what I’m going to accomplish. These range from large, sweeping goals to things like this reading list for 2016.

It isn’t a complete list, and I’ll be adding to it as the year goes on, since I’m sure there are books I’ll want to read next year that I haven’t even heard of yet.

This reading list was compiled from some of the best books of 2015 that piqued my interest, some classics, and a few miscellaneous choices.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun making this book list, and I can’t wait to dig into these! Any books you guys are excited to read?

Oh my gosh, Pride and Prejudice is one of my all time favorite books <3 Excited for you to read it! I'm trying to read as many classic books as I can, so I might pick one of those up. Not sure which yet T_T

I read Emma recently and really enjoyed it, so I want to get into more Jane Austen! I remember yelling “Emma is a terrible person!” in the beginning, slowly graduating to “She’s okay I guess” to “She’s my favorite fake human!” And I’m the same, I want to read a bunch of classics just to see what all the fuss is about!

Haha, yeah I totally agree with Emma. By the way, did you know that the movie Clueless is based off of Emma? 😀

I had no idea, but it does make sense! Now I want to watch Clueless again!

What a great way to go into the new year. I like to reflect back on what books I’ve read and loved at the end of each year (I use Goodreads to log them, which helps) but haven’t ever set a ‘to read’ list for the new one. You have a great list!

      Yeah Goodreads is really handy!

    Hi Allysia!

I clicked on your blog link when I was reading Estee Lalonde’s comment section on her latest post. 🙂

Great selection of books you have there! I haven’t read Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, but I’ve watched the movie for a million and one times!

Have a wonderful holiday and cheers from Indonesia.

Most of these books are new for me too! Usually I just go to Best Of lists and find what looks the most interesting. 🙂
